Missouri Conservation Corps has a new schedule of volunteer work events to move us out of spring and into summer in Columbia’s parks and natural areas. Our work events will focus on cutting and removing invasive honeysuckle, but we will also feature an environmental education event on Saturday, May 31st in Kiwanis Park. This event, led by Naturalist and educator Laura Semken, is geared toward younger learners who are curious about birds and their place in the natural world.
All of our volunteer work events are free and open to the public, and Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, training, gloves and cold water. Volunteers are encouraged to dress for the weather and for the forested environment of Columbia’s parks.
To sign up or register for any of our events, please contact Missouri Conservation Corps Project Director Stephen Bybee at [email protected]
