On Sunday, April 19th, Missouri Conservation Corps and Flower Folk LLC partnered to bring some new trees to the Flower Folk community space in the West Ash neighborhood. This planting brought residents from the surrounding neighborhoods and community organizations together for an afternoon of tree planting, education and resource sharing, and camaraderie. This community event highlighted the importance of having green spaces in urban areas, including the physical and mental benefits of planting trees and building up canopy coverage in Columbia.
