Volunteer Honeysuckle Removal at Garth Nature Area
Missouri Conservation Corps is organizing a volunteer honeysuckle cutting event on Tuesday, September 29th, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. in Columbia’s Garth Nature Area, 2799 North Garth Ave. Volunteers will be cutting, hacking, and pulling invasive honeysuckle in this 52-acre park in central Columbia.
Volunteers can meet in the parking area, and we will walk to our work site in the park. Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, training, and gloves for this event. Volunteers will need to wear sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle.
