SUMMARY:Winter Tree Care Event in the Ridgeway Neighborhood
DESCRIPTION:Missouri Conservation Corps is hosting a unique volunteer event on Friday\, November 29th.  We are teaming up with the Ridgeway Neighborhood Association\, Volunteer Columbia\, and the Columbia Tree Board to install protective cages around the newly planted trees on the corner of Garth and Sexton. \nThis event will run from 1 p.m until 4 p.m.\, and volunteers can park in the large parking lot between Sexton Road and the Centro Latino building.   Follow the VOLUNTEER signs to our work location\, west of the parking lot. \nThis festive neighborhood volunteer event will take place on Friday\, November 29th\, from 1-4 p.m. on the southwest corner of Garth and Sexton\, in central Columbia.  Volunteers are encouraged to dress for the weather and to bring a pair of work gloves.  Hot cocoa and hot cider will be served\, and you are free to bring a mug and fill it up with a hot drink while we work on the trees. \nTo sign up for this community volunteer event\, contact Missouri Conservation Corps Project Director Stephen Bybee at stephen@missouriconservationcorps.org
