SUMMARY:Volunteer Tree Planting at Gans Creek Recreation Area
DESCRIPTION:Missouri Conservation Corps\, Columbia’s Parks and Recreation\, and Columbia Volunteer Services are organizing a tree planting in Columbia’s Gans Creek Recreation Area\, 3350 E Gans Rd\, on Saturday\, September 6th\, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. We will be planting 15-gallon container trees along the new mountain bike course. Shovels\, gloves\, and water will be provided for volunteers. Volunteers will need to wear sturdy footwear and bring a reusable water bottle. SUMMARY:Volunteer Honeysuckle Work Event in Garth Nature Area
DESCRIPTION:Missouri Conservation Corps is organizing a volunteer honeysuckle cutting event on Wednesday\, September 10th\, from 5 – 7 p.m. in Columbia’s Garth Nature Area\, 2799 North Garth Ave. Volunteers will be cutting\, hacking and pulling invasive honeysuckle in this 20-acre park in central Columbia. \nVolunteers can meet in the parking area\, and we will walk to our work site in the park. Just like all our events\, Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools\, training\, and gloves for this event.
