Community Tree Event in the Benton-Stephens Neighborhood
About the Event
Missouri Conservation Corps is bringing a community tree event to the Benton-Stephens neighborhood this spring! On Monday, May 18th, join Missouri Conservation Corps and your Benton-Stephens neighbors in Erin Wagoner’s backyard, 1409 Pratt Street. We will be giving a tree-planting demonstration in Erin’s backyard, and we will also be signing up neighbors for free Missouri native trees. The purpose of our event is to bolster the urban canopy in Columbia, and to help neighbors access free trees for their yards.
This event runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the backyard of 1409 Pratt St. Come join us to learn more about the importance of trees in our urban environment, to learn proper tree planting techniques, and to sign up for a free tree for your yard!
