Honeysuckle Cutting in Garth Nature Area

About the Event

Okay…we know this is kind of early for honeysuckle cutting, and given Missouri’s weather this winter, we might still be snowed under in March.  But we are going to put this event on the calendar, and give mid-March a try.  Missouri Conservation Corps is organizing its first honeysuckle cutting event of 2025 on Tuesday, March 18th in Columbia’s Garth Nature Area, 2799 North Garth.  Volunteers will be cutting, hacking and pulling invasive honeysuckle in this 52-acre park in north Columbia.

Volunteers can meet in the parking area of Garth Nature Area, and we will walk to our work site in the park.  Just like all our events, Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, training and gloves for this event.  Volunteers will need to wear sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle.
