Kiwanis Park Volunteer Honeysuckle Event (East Side)
About the Event
Missouri Conservation Corps is hosting a volunteer work event in Kiwanis Park on Tuesday, December 9th, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the east side of the park, meeting at Thurston Shelter, 1001 Maplewood Drive. Our work will involve cutting, hacking, and pulling invasive honeysuckle. Volunteers need to wear clothing appropriate for working outdoors in the cold and are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle.
Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, gloves, and training for this event. Because this is one of our winter season volunteer events, we will enjoy hot cocoa and snacks after the event on the trail bridge.
