Kiwanis Park Volunteer Honeysuckle Work Event (East Side)
About the Event
Missouri Conservation Corps is hosting its last volunteer work event of the year in Columbia’s Kiwanis Park on Thursday, December 11th, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the east side of the park, meeting at Thurston Shelter, 1001 Maplewood Drive. Our work will involve cutting, hacking and pulling invasive honeysuckle. Volunteers need to wear clothing appropriate for working outdoors in the cold, and are encouraged to bring a water bottle.
Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, gloves and training for this event. Because this event is one of our winter season volunteer events, we will enjoy hot cocoa and snacks after the event at the Thurston Shelter. For more information, or to sign up to volunteer for this event, contact Stephen Bybee at [email protected]
