About the Event

Stephens Lake Arboretum, Columbia’s Level II Arboretum, in conjunction with Columbia Parks and Recreation, will be hosting a winter speaker’s series dedicated to discussions of native plants, planting for pollinators, and edible urban landscapes. Speakers will include Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall, Ryan Russell, Matthew Dolan and Dr. Mark Coggeshall.

Stephens Lake Arboretum is a Level II Arboretum located in Columbia’s Stephens Lake Park. This local arboretum has a new group of volunteers committed to maintaining the plant health and landscape of the arboretum, and the winter lecture series will be an opportunity to bring some visibility to the Arboretum and its treasures.

These lecture events will take place on Wednesday evenings in February and March, beginning at 6 p.m. in Riechmann Pavilion, 2300 East Walnut Street.  The February 26th presentation is on small trees for the urban landscape.  For more information, see the post on our website: https://missouriconservationcorps.org/stephens-lake-park-arboretum/
