Tree Planting Event at Gans Creek Recreation Area

About the Event

Missouri Conservation Corps will be teaming up with COMO Trail Association, Columbia Parks and Recreation, and Volunteer Columbia to plant 150-200 new trees in the Gans Creek Recreation Area on the south side of Columbia. This tree-planting event will start at 2 p.m. and will run until 5 p.m.  Volunteers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to come out and join us as we embark on a mission to plant 500 new trees in Gans Creek Recreation Area this fall!

Columbia Parks and Recreation and Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools and training (and trees!) for this event. Volunteers will need to wear appropriate footwear for outdoor work, and are encouraged to dress for the environment and for the weather, and bring a reusable water bottle.
