Volunteer Honeysuckle Removal Event in Kiwanis Park (East)
About the Event
Tuesday, April 22nd @ 10AM- NOON
Missouri Conservation Corps is organizing a volunteer honeysuckle cutting event on Tuesday, April 22nd, from 10am-Noon on the east side of Columbia’s Kiwanis Park, 1001 Maplewood Drive. Volunteers will be cutting, hacking and pulling invasive honeysuckle in this 20-acre park in central Columbia.
Volunteers can meet in the parking area at Thurston Shelter, on the east side of Kiwanis Park, and we will walk to our work site in the park. Just like all our events, Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, training and gloves for this event. Volunteers will need to wear sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle.
