About the Event

Missouri Conservation Corps is hosting a volunteer honeysuckle removal event in Columbia’s beautiful and scenic Garth Nature Area, 2799 North Garth on Saturday, September 7th.  Volunteers will be using handsaws and loppers to cut some very large honeysuckle in this 52 acre natural area…Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, training, gloves, bug spray and cold water…volunteers will need to wear clothing and footwear selected for outdoor work in a natural area, and a water bottle would be a great asset during this hot weather.  This event will run from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., and volunteers can park at the Garth Nature Area parking lot at 2799 North Garth.  Follow the VOLUNTEER signs to our work location, west of the parking lot.
