Volunteer Honeysuckle Work Event in Garth Nature Area
About the Event
Missouri Conservation Corps is organizing a volunteer honeysuckle cutting event on Wednesday, September 10th, from 5 – 7 p.m. in Columbia’s Garth Nature Area, 2799 North Garth Ave. Volunteers will be cutting, hacking and pulling invasive honeysuckle in this 20-acre park in central Columbia.
Volunteers can meet in the parking area, and we will walk to our work site in the park. Just like all our events, Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, training, and gloves for this event. Volunteers will need to wear sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle.
To register for this event, or to learn more about our events in Columbia’s parks and green spaces, contact Missouri Conservation Corps Project Director Stephen Bybee at [email protected].
