Volunteer Honeysuckle Work Event with Columbia Audubon Society
About the Event
Missouri Conservation Corps and Columbia Audubon Society are organizing a volunteer honeysuckle cutting event on Saturday, March 21st, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Columbia Audubon Nature Sanctuary, 3607 Bray Ave. Volunteers will be cutting, hacking, and pulling invasive honeysuckle from this 28-acre nature preserve.
Volunteers are asked to park along Bray Ave, near the intersection of Bray Ave and Cunningham Rd, and to walk to the main entrance. Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, training, and gloves for this event, and Columbia Audubon Society will be providing pizza (vegetarian options available) and beverages. Volunteers will need to wear sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle.
