Volunteer in Historic Arrow Rock
About the Event
Missouri Conservation Corps is partnering with Missouri River Bird Observatory and Arrow Rock State Historic Site to remove invasive privet in the historic village of Arrow Rock. Join us as we bring volunteers to Arrow Rock to improve the bird habitat and the hiking trails in the beautiful Arrow Rock State Historic Site, 39521 Visitor Center Drive, Arrow Rock. MCC and MRBO will host two volunteer work days this fall, on Saturday, October 19th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and again on Saturday, November 2nd, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of the Arrow Rock Visitor Center, 39521 Visitor Center Drive, Arrow Rock. Missouri Conservation Corps will provide tools, gloves, water, and training. Missouri River Bird Observatory will provide training, management, and a one hour children’s activity for children accompanied by a parent or guardian. Arrow Rock State Historic Site will provide lunch on October 19th, and snacks on November 2nd.
