Volunteer Work Event in Bonnie View Nature Sanctuary
About the Event
Missouri Conservation Corps is hosting another volunteer work day in Columbia’s 92-acre Bonnie View Nature Sanctuary. This event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 7th. Volunteers will be cutting invasive honeysuckle and autumn olive in order to restore the beauty of the prairie and the stately hardwood trees that populate this community park.
Volunteers will meet at 10 a.m. in the park shelter at 3300 West Rollins Road. From the shelter we will hike into the park to start our work. Missouri Conservation Corps will provide the tools, gloves, and training for this event. Volunteers are asked to bring a water bottle and to wear clothing appropriate for the weather and for the environment.
After our work is done, volunteers will enjoy pizza and hot cocoa compliments of Missouri Conservation Corps!
