We are kicking off our volunteer calendar this year with a creek cleanup! Join us and Missouri Stream Team in cleaning up Flat Branch Creek on the MKT Trail on Sunday, March 8th, from 12 – 3 pm! Meet us at Grasslands Park (21 E Clarkson Rd), where will have bags, gloves, and tools for our eager participants. The cleanup will be active from 12 – 2 pm, and at 2 pm, volunteers can return to Grasslands Park, where we will grill hotdogs and have giveaway prizes for our most enthusiastic volunteers of the day.
Last year we organized our very first creek cleanup in the same location, and more than 65 volunteers came to Flat Branch Creek. Families, student groups, and trail-lovers alike all banded together to pull more than 45 bags of litter and debris, furniture, tires, and entire chairs! We are hoping to see another outpour of love from our community for Flat Branch Creek and the MKT Trail, and we are so excited to spring back into our volunteer events!
