Litter Pickups in July and August with Volunteer Columbia

Our good friends at Volunteer Columbia have several summer litter pickup events planned for July and August.  These events will take place in Columbia’s parks, neighborhoods and trails, and they are open to volunteers of all ages and abilities.  The first event is coming right up on Thursday, July 3rd in Indian Hills Park, 5009 Aztec Boulevard, starting at 6:30 p.m.  For those who would like to volunteer for these events with Volunteer Columbia, please email Volunteer Columbia at volunteer @como.gov. Volunteers under 16 years of age will need to be accompanied by an adult.  

Thursday, July 3rd, Indian Hills Neighborhood, meet at Indian Hills Park, 5009 Aztec Boulevard—starts at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, July 10th, Benton-Stephens Neighborhood, meet at Benton Elementary on the corner of Hinkson and Ripley—starts at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 12th, Bear Creek Trail, meet at 3201 Creasy Springs Road—starts at 9 a.m.

Thursday, July 17th, Whitegate Neighborhood, meet at the corner of Nelwood Drive and Calvert Drive—starts at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 23rd, Nifong Park, meet at Nifong Park, parking lot off Ponderosa, 2900 East Nifong—starts at 9 a.m.
