Since 2021, MCC has been dedicated to restoring our native habitat through invasive species removals and native plantings, and now, we are also committed to bolstering our connection to the environment through urban tree planting, environmental education, and community engagement.
|

How will your gift help us in 2026?
|
|
In 2026, MCC will be engaging homeowners and community partners in an urban tree-planting campaign. Our goal is to bring trees to areas that are lacking adequate shade, and to work with the community in the planting and caring of a healthy tree canopy in Columbia.
|
|
|
|
Your donation will also help us maintain our commitment to providing environmental education to Camp I Love Me, a subsidized summer camp in Columbia that we work with to bring young campers into nature.
|
|

In 2025, Missouri Conservation Corps and its energetic, dedicated volunteers organized and participated in:
|
|
|
|
- 34 volunteer habitat events
- 8 tree plantings
|
- 2 creek cleanups
- 12 summer camp events
|
|
|
Our volunteers were actively involved in cutting and removing invasive honeysuckle, teaching community members and young summer camps the importance of native plants and trees, and picking up trash from our parks, trails, and creeks. We planted 384 trees in Columbia's parks and green spaces, and an additional 90 trees in Columbia's urban neighborhoods. Altogether, we spent more than 1750 volunteer hours beautifying our community and restoring native habitats.

We are grateful for the help of the volunteers who joined us and for the community partners who helped us arrange these events, recruit volunteers, and articulate and amplify our mission to the Columbia community at large.
