Summer Storytimes in Boonville with MCC Naturalist Laura Semken

Join Missouri Conservation Corps Naturalist Laura Semken for stories, crafts, and hands-on fun! This July, Laura will be at the Lions Park Shelter in Boonville, MO offering storytime readings and guided explorations of owls and Monarch butterflies!

All programs are appropriate for children pre-K through 5th grade and families. Stories are geared towards ages 3-5, but all ages are welcome!


Who’s Hoo?

Friday, July 10th, at 10 a.m.

Learn all bout the owls of Missouri! Explore the wings, feet, and skulls of owls to learn more about their amazing skills, and find how protecting and restoring habitat can help owls survive and thrive!


Magic Monarch

Friday, July 24th, at 10 a.m.

Follow the magical journey of Monarch butterflies! Explore the life cycle and migration of Monarch butterflies, and learn about protecting and restoring pollinator habitats.
