Thank you KOMU 8 and Reporter Hunter Walterman for the wonderful coverage of our collaboration event on the MKT Trail with Missouri River Relief, and thanks to the many volunteers and community members who came out to support our event!
Thanks to you and your effort, the natural habitat along this stretch of the MKT Trail is now cleaner, healthier, and that much closer to a native ecosystem! Thanks to everyone who helped yesterday, and special thanks to Missouri Dept. of Conservation for their ongoing support, and to Volunteer Columbia for the signs and hot cocoa for our volunteers!
The story and coverage from Hunter, which originally aired on KOMU 8 on November 10th, follows:

It’s the second year the Missouri River Relief and the Missouri Conservation Corps have teamed up to lead volunteers out for a day of invasive plant removal.
