Missouri Conservation Corps has been working in high gear this fall, but we will soon start slowing down for the winter. As our volunteer calendar comes to a close, we sincerely hope you can join us in Columbia’s parks before the end of the year!
Last Events of 2025
The start of winter is a perfect time to remove invasive species. As colder weather begins to move in, many of our native Missouri plants lose their leaves and die back, making invasive species like bush honeysuckle much more visible. Invasive species identification and removal becomes a lot easier if you’re able to bear the chilly weather! Doing so also removes competition and prepares the environment to flourish with native plants and pollinators in the spring. Join us on any of the following dates:
- Sunday, November 16th, from 1 – 3pm at Indian Hills Park
- Wednesday, November 19th, from 10 – 12pm at Garth Nature Area
- Saturday, December 6th, from 1 – 3pm at Lions-Stephens Park
- Tuesday, December 9th, from 3 – 5pm at Kiwanis Park (East Entrance)
- Thursday, December 11th, from 3 – 5pm at Kiwanis Park (East Entrance)

Our CoMoGives Campaign
Missouri Conservation Corps is excited to be a part of CoMoGives for a second year!
CoMoGives is an annual online fundraiser that has supplemented and sustained many organizations and non-profits over the years. This year, 180 participants are telling their stories, connecting to their supporters, and expanding the capacity in which they serve their communities. Participating organizations range from health aid to food insecurity, fine arts to animal welfare, education to advocacy, and beyond. By donating this giving season, you are directly ensuring the life and vitality of your local community. Amidst the many wonderful and passionate organizations to support, we hope that you will take the time to engage with our story and mission this December.
